According to imdb.com it aint available on dvd or video. Pity though, I'd love to see the Liz McDonald/gas cylinder sketch again.

Missed that one. What happened?

Elgroucho. Answerbank extra of the week!!!!!!!!!

its odd this one as we all loved it in our household and the general consensus seemed to be that it was very popular and yet was soon dumped to saturday tea time.
MargeB, you may remember that there was one long sketch per episode. This one involved a day in the life of a gas cylinder (the sort of large one's that you get in science labs, not the small things you take camping). It showed the cylinder doing mundane activities like going to the shops etc, and finally followed it to work where it got a wig, some lipstick and transformed into Liz McDonald from Coronation Street. This followed on from an earlier clip where Steve from the Street was doing a scene and there was a gas cylinder in the background. The two dials for pressure and flow rate looked like eyes, making it look loke a person.
