What a start to the day - curled up on the sofa, clutching a bowl, within sprinting distance of the littlest room..........
The forecast doesn't look good in this corner of Wales, but at least as we are on higher ground we don't have the risk of flooding - not that I'm planning to go anywhere!
Hope you all have a better start to the day :)

Mornin' roo, Sounds like you are suffering this morning, It looks like we are going to have a sunrise here on the Plain this morning, I had better get the welding googles out as were are not used to seeing the sun these day's.

Yes, my stomach is certainly making some interesting noises!
Glad somewhere is due for sunshine, hopefully nowhere else gets flooded.
Morning Roo - not too bad this NW corner of Wales with some blue skies. from the forecast it looks as if Mid Wales is going to cop more rain (poor bu99ers). I'm guessing you're somewhere in the Denbigh/Mold/Ruthin area - not bad for rain but first to cop the snow in winter, I guess
Morning Moonie - long time, no speak - how's things?

We're right on the border with Shropshire so we don't get the snow as badly as some other areas. Just seen the updated forecast for today - a huge black rain cloud right over us :( looks like the sofa is the place to stay!
good morning all, yesterday Alba [?] asked about my dogs I have a 13 yr grumpy old shar pei Taz whom we have had from 12 weeks old and a rescue Shaff thats a shar pei/staff cross [ I made the name up] called Minnie who is about 10 and we adopted her about 7 years ago.I do help rescue shar peis well help when I can a lady called Roma who runs Shar pei rescue &welfare, pls look on her web site when you have some spare time .
Looks like its going to be a nice day for a change, already got my washing on the line and about to start the housework then by 9am the day is my own. Hope the day stays bright & sunny where ever you are.Hope you feel better soon Roo.
Used to do a lot of competitions down Ellesemere, Oswestry, Llangollen and Newtown so travelled that area quite a bit when the kids were a lot younger.
What's the cause of your ailment, Roo?
Morning Dee - as a 'dog person' i applaud anyone who looks after abandoned dogs. I only wish I could have one of my own again (used to have 2 miniature Yorkies) but as I work full time, it would be unfair on the dog to leave it cooped up all day
I agree with you Welshie it isnt fair to have dogs and leave them all day, some people buy a dog and dont realise the commitment. When the Beckhams buy a cute wrinkly baby shar pei everyone wants one and when at about one year old most of them grow into the wrinkles and they are not cute anymore they abandon them and the excuses are pathetic but worse of all the poor bewildered dog doesnt know what its done wrong . Once with help Roma rescued 7 dogs from their old homes and put them in new homes all in one day.
Morning all!
I hope your tum is soon behaving roo. xxx
a drop of sun is threatening here!
Morning Boaty - clouding up outside now, probably a drop more rain on the horizon.

Dee - so agree with you. Too many dogs are bought as 'fashion accessories' and dumped when they become too large or too expensive or because the kids get bored that the 'puppy' has now grown into an adult dog and they can't be bothered with it. I hate to see young children with puppies at Christmas, because i know by June they will have got rid of it.
I couldn't agree more with you both about dogs. A better friend you will never have, and some of these lovely animals are treated disgracefully. It should be a criminal offence I reckon.

I lived in and worked around those after moving up from 'dahn sarf' before hopping over t'border. Been watching the BBC programmes about London and was only a teensy bit homesick - mainly for transport that runs after 6pm but got a shock when I saw Monday's Secret Millionaire :) I think Michael Portillo is stalking me too - one of his Great British Railway Journeys was about Crystal Palace and another did the Holyhead line and featured our town - I think the end of the route is tonight or tomorrow.
Not sure what is giving me bits of the two-bob variety, but it's playing havoc with my gall bladder which has now decided it wants a piece of the action!
Too right, Boaty
hi Roo n all
agree too re the dogs
my 'duchess ' reached the grand old age of 16 a few months back-hearings gone a bit but could see a bonio a mile away
Roo - when I moved over to Anglesey from York, I thought I would miss it terribly but strangely, i don't!!
Morning beejay. They are good at that. They have selective deafness too. Majik! :o}
roo and Welshie. you would miss the west if you moved back. I know I would!
Must nip off. Back in about ½ hour.
Time for me to go now, unfortunately, but workload is screaming out for my attention.... so.........................

Have a good day y'all and, if you have one, may your god go with you
