who can't wait until that grim day (valentines) is gone and all us left on the shelf don't have to have it rubbed in our faces any more?

(I'm aware it's all a load of commercial crap, etc. But I still hate it being single).

Here here

Been married twenty years and we never send cards or do the gift thing.
Wait until its all overv and then go out for a meal.
However we go out on meal dates all the time.

Guess it keeps the florists going and card people happy

I think I played too hard to get with old captain birdseye. He hasn't brought me any fish for yonks.

!
... all available women please send full address, mobile number and picture to [email protected] and I'll be in touch ;=)
It didn't bother me when I was single but then being single didn't really bother me, although it's always nice to get a card obviously (but it would be nice any day of the year). I'm in a relationship now and if man hostage even notices the date I will be impressed!

Just think of the good things you do have and enjoy them, I doubt you'll be single forever so enjoy your time now :c)
Never had one in my life, not even from my husband. He reckoned he was a valentine in himself so didn't need any cards. He was right - he was.
I dont give valentines day a second thought to be honest
when I was single I loved Valentines day, or at least the weekend before.. the fish were always a lot hungrier! haha
Its like making sure you puilled before christmas so you had someone to go to parties with and dumping them just before to avoid buying them a present
Mrs McM and I have been married for yonks and have never done V. cards but generally crack open a bottle of fizz and have a nice meal.

dunno why that posted twice!

Married 25yrs, (later this year) go out for a meal at least once every two weeks, take OH with me sometimes ;o), don't do V-cards, never have done, and steer clear of Eateries doing V-day specials.
Never used to do Valentines after the first couple of years of being married but have to admit all the adverts do make me a bit teary this year as will be first one without him.
