I've had a shocking day. First the car broke down on my way to court and after receiving a rollocking from His Honour I know I have a big repair bill.

I came home to find that the wind has blown my polytunnel away. I am guessing the rest will follow overnight.

I went out to shut my chickens up to find the wind had blown the henhouse door shut so they had roosted in various places in the garden. Finding three chickens in the dark is not easy and I am now scratched to bits and covered in mud.

I could honestly cry at this moment. So lets have some fun........

im glad that the roof of my shed is still on, though it had lifted several inches :o

will you have to buy a new polytunnel then? or will you look for it?
Well if you don't want to sink further into depression, don't, whatever you do, read the past few hours postings!

Honestly, no idea what's going on, everyone has got a cob on. In fact me and Cd appear ot be the only cheerful ones here at the moment, and that IS a frightening thought innit? ;-)
Tay Road Bridge closed to all traffic so I don't have to go to work - Yay!
But you have already had fun playing hide & seek with the chickens !
I'm cheerful, cos I have just finished writing my cards, and had a big sewing job that I have almost finished. Dinners int' oven and all is well. Hope your day improves Barmaid!

lololololol at the idea of hide and seek - that did make me laugh.

Unfortunately, Cazz, I know where the polytunnel is, wind has ripped it so its had it. I tried to put the cover back on, but I was fighting a losing battle. Shame because I had a load of plants in there to overwinter.

B00 if you and CD are the only cheerful ones here, I am thinking that this site has been overtaken by aliens!

Tenrec - you sound quite chipper! Good on you!

Headwreck - I can't put decs up, we are still redecorating.

Maggie, I want to move to Scotland.......
i've been trying to get in touch with an elderly friend for a week and was beginning to fear the worst. popped round to her house this morning to find a different car parked on her path. it was her sons, and apparently she's had a fall and broken her collar bone and is in hospital. i am so relieved that it's not really, really bad news, and that she'll be home later this week.
well, it cheered me up :)
oh, also, have bought a bottle of the wine NoM suggested, an italian white from asda's extra special range, and it's as good as, if not better than, she reviewed it. this has also cheered me up.
you'll feel better tomorrow barmaid.
Boo, what does "everyone has got a cob on" mean? Not an expression we use in Dundee and not quite sure of the meaning.
Means got face on, or in a bad mood type, of thing maggie :-)
I have acquired a mad woman stalker for Xmas (well it's different). Out of the blue an old school friend whom I haven't seen for about 20 years rang me. I picked her up the weekend before last, brought her to my house and we had a lovely afternoon reminiscing................she has now rung me several times accusing me of having an affair with her husband.............ho ho ho!
Question Author
Ehtandron, that puts my silly problems into perspective. I hope your friend fares well.

Sorry Craft, but I am lmao at that.

I just had a phone call that cheered me up no end. Can't say why and who, but will dish the dirt at the appropriate time (nowt to do with members on here, I might add).
Craft that made me laugh, that's the be post I've read all day. Still laughing!
There you go then BM.at least I made you laugh.
".she has now rung me several times accusing me of having an affair with her husband.............ho ho ho! "

That's ace! Keep us informed Crafty.
is she deluded or have you been rumbled..?
Ankou as the saying goes "I wouldn't touch him with yours"........
That confirms that Craft went to St Trinians or someother mad-house of a school.
i'm flattered to hear you think mine could reach.
I went to a very proper all girl grammar I'll have you know............for some reason this girl left early.
