Is anyone else thoroughly fed up with the X-Factor? Tears, emotion, conflict, and long moments spent in breathless anticipation of 'life-changing' decisions - not to mention mainly mediocre talent. Has it's format been stretched too far - and is X-Factor now past its sell-by date?

Ive only watched a couple of episodes this year last night was the last for me between Kelly and Tulisa with their Oh its so tough for us having to vote one of our acts off, give me a break I wouldnt be surprised if they two of them had a bag of onions under the desk to keep the tears flowing. Its past it sell by date I reckon.
i would tend to agree with you naomi, but it seems it is very much cherished by the populus who demand its return, glue themselves to the box every week and buy the single every year.

apparently the show has 42% of the ratings each week (on balance) so either it is still within date, or every other channel is crap.

i rather think it is the latter. one hopes.
I agree with 237. XF USA has a lot more talent (especially Josh), I have watched up until last week but shan't bother anymore. Will stick with the USA version with Simon and L.A. Reid.

Louis Walsh should be sacked, I've been thinking for a few years that he's a waste of space, he puts all the rubbish through - like Wagner last year!
Bring back Seaside Special and let's have some proper entertainment
Should it not now be called the ADS FACTOR.
A couple of wannabes stuck between five minutes of adverts.
Way, way past its sell by date; welcome to the other side naomi.
