Thanks all,
top of the world B00 ;o)

anne as he walked up, to hear all the team and other parents cheer just set me off :o)
Congrats to your son Elvis, He must have worked extremely hard and done an amazing job for his football team.my husband and i ran a young boys football team for over 10 years and for your son to get both of these awards is outstanding. He has the repect from the team. The Manager has seen his potential. Tell him to keep up his good work,he's doing everything right. Excellent. I can see why you are so proud.

Thanks fredkins, I shook his managers hand afterwards and said thank you and he said when my son first joined he couldn`t kick a ball for toffee, (harsh but true) but his commitment and determination in training and on the pitch during the season won him it made me feel so proud of him.

I`ve never been one of those "shouty football touchline dads" but have watched him win or lose and always told him if he played good or bad and he`s always took it on the chin.

And for a first season team to finish mid division and semi finalists in the cup hopefully next season they will progress :o)

They have done brilliantly for their first season, hope they continue to progress next season.and your son keeps shining through.we had one boy from the age of 7 up to 15 years who went on to play for hartlepool boys, but unfortunately he got a very bad knee injury and had to give football up.

Yes it is Elvis. I don't know if you have seen my post but my husband died in the early hours of this morning. I am currently wandering between websites in a bit of a daze and not really taking it in yet.
