Unlikely I know, but I'd like to see Paterson Joseph take over the role
Or Martin Kemp mmmmmm.
No way! None of the above. It HAS to be Dougray Scott. He's the only person right for the role. (Martin Kemp!? You weirdo.)

I do hope so - I might start watching the films then!

FINA, you're not a weirdo -I think Martin Kemp is lovely too.

Next Bond has to be Julian McMahon.

I'll thank you not to be so abusive Skids!! I am most certainly not a "Weirdo". Robinia thanks for agreeing with me,I still think Martin Kemp would make a great JB.

Question Author

I think clive owen would be great as bond but also  think that ewan mcgregor or ioan gruffyd (from  hornblower and king arthur) would also be good

I'm still clinging on to the futile hope that they'll get Brosnan back one last time! He's going to be a very difficult act to follow.
Martin Kemp? Oh I know how about Sharon from Eastenders as money penny. Dot Cotton as M.
I can't help agreeing with Chris...Brosnan was definately made for the part of Bond and he comes very close to Ian Flemings description of Bond in the books.
Definitely Clive Owen...
As long as it's a British actor, as opposed to some of the names bandied about a few months ago (Eric Bana?? Hugh Jackman?? I think even Russell Crowe was mentioned!!)

Have to disagree with Pjm, having read the books as well as seen all 20 of the official films (we'll draw a veil over Never Say Never Again), the nearest actor to the written Bond was Timothy Dalton. He had the edge and look that made you believe he really could be a cold hard agent & killer...
