Call Centres, now there's a breeding ground for excellent CS....or NOT...LOL
Stress levels must have increased with these establishments ! which are all 0870 numbers at 10per minute, just to be talked down to..lol
even contacting my bank by phone is a nightmare..

I worked for BT in a call centre many moons ago, the customers were a bloody nightmare there too.

thats only cos you were working next to me vibes
Liarliar, are the staff in those call centres in India all called John? They are when I ring them.
I briefly trained BT call centre staff in London.......both they and the customers were the rudest people I'd ever come across.
However as calls to BT are free at least you aren't being charged for crap service..

Sky are the worst, I can;t bloody understand them and they use a script and will not deviate
Unless they've changed dramatically the BT call centres in India are hilarious. They all have to pick a british name, they are briefed before each shift on the weather in England, and are given weekly updates on the soaps so they can chat with the customers.

arh but the point there is, you worked in this country so there probably was a fair understanding but most of the CC now seem to be outsourced, not the fault of the person taking the calls that you can never understand them, they must feel exactly the same, I must admit I do find these people extremely polite, I had to deal with a CC in Livingston yesterday, and was she a rude little madam?..lol
I hate all the callcentres, even though I appreciate the poor s0ds are only trying to earn a living.
I particularly hate the Indian ones, and have often been a bit brusque with them. Nothing against them - but why take the jobs to India for funky monkey's sake?

got it in one craft, it was Sky I was referring to !
liar I don't need to change anything............all my bank accounts are on-line and my mobile provider Virgin has UK call centres........who I must admit are excellent.
i've tried to speak to my cc company to pay my bill, i've given up now and sent a really sh!tty email to someone who will probably ignore it,
Thank you for calling BT my name is Randi Bugah, how can I help ? Duh Duh !!!
So much for Call Centres ! ;-))
ooh redman.....have you had him as well................
Question Author
As Craft will probably testify, BT training was of a very high calibre, but even that has been outsourced now, there were supervisors whose job it was to walk along the row of telephonists to make sure they handled a call properly
