Complain...

I'm not really one for complaining but I'm tempted to send a *** email to weatherspoons (sp)

Would you? Or would you just leave a bad review?

What did/didn't they do ?

And which one ?
What are you complaining about exactly? I had a go at a bus driver yesterday as he was a total, little hitler knob (not that it did me much good but I felt better). I can't imagine antything I would complaine about in weatherspoons really, it's the sort of place where you get what you pay for so my expectations are never that high in the first instance. I would probaby complain if there was poor service, but I would generally complain at time, I'm too lazy to write letters/emails.

Goose on two streets.

The food was really crap. I had seafood pie with no seafood in it. He had a burger that was like cardboard. The other two ate theres though...

You know those cardboard things they have on the tables showing the latest promotions. I picked it up and it was covered in mould.

Marty complained and they just fobbed him off....
Maybe they shut early and kicked her out CD lol
^^^ or read them
Nah, in that case I probably wouldn't... My expectations are such that it wouldn't suprise me to find mould or bad food sorry to say.... Plus if I got a free dinner voucher to go back to one as compensation I'd be even more cross! ;0)
If this is a restaurant I would have complained at the time so that they had a chance to put things right. If you've already paid, I would say it's a bit late to complain.

We only went for lunch Dot...lol

We did actually go to O'Neils but the heating was broke. It was too cold to eat there.
We did at a local resturant. Sat outside they took our orders and forgot about us. We asked if our meals were coming...they said a couple of them were now off the menu.

We complained in a later phone call to manager. Invited us back for free meals. :-)
I often have a quick shuftie at 'The Wetherspoons Magazine' when I pop into our local. The chief chappie seems quite 'hands on' when it comes to customer services.

Give it a go...............you know you want to :o)

My expectations weren't too high. Food wise anyway. I wouldn't complain about the food...I'd just add that in to make the complaint better :-)

The mould was pretty grim though...

Lol....I'll wait for someone to annoy me..then send an email (from OH's account!)
Well make sure you tell them you want cash as compensation and not a free fricking meal lol!

I'd probably eat there again though. I'll stick to sandwiches I think...
I have a niece who makes a point of complaining wherever she goes. She seems to get away with it every time and has many free meals. Personally I always feel too embarrassed but if you have paid for it and not received what you expect then you have every right to complain.

I've only ever complained once before. That was because the food took so long to come out the kids fell asleep at the table..
The sad thing in UK restaurants is,if you wait ages for food it is usually going to be not nice or dowright crap!
If I have to wait longer than 30 minutes for my mains I leave,I don't pay for the starter and I send a rocket of an email to the restaurants head office.
If the restaraunt is a solely owned one, the the manager OR owner gets a blast in the ear.
You have(if possible) to teach them through their cash register, they hate losing money.
We Brits just don't complain enough, and as such we have no excuse when it comes to rubbish food & service,we get what we deserve.
Question Author
30mins....is that in all restaurants?

I would expect to wait that long, or more, in a decent restaurant when you know the food is being cooked fresh..
Mrs MM often complains. She complained to Asda about cigarettes and received a gift voucher. She complained to Birds Eye about gristle in a meat pie and received birds Eye vouchers. She also complained to Tetleys about the quality of tea in their catering packs. They refunded the money. I think all her complaints have been justified. Unless people complain service will not improve.
ummmm,
I mean 30 minutes after finishing my starter,if they cannot do this (given how much food is already precooked in many restaraunts, even the very good ones) then I am out of there.
They should time it so that you get your mains about 10 to 15 minutes after the finish of your first course. If they cannot organise that they don't deserve to be business, and I take mine elsewhere.
