i have an old rediffusion telegraph pole in my garden, there is one cable attached to it but this is not in use, how do i go about getting it removed or can i remove it my self

Rediffisions network was sold to Maxwell Communications who went into administration and are no longer around so I suspect you would find it very hard to get anyone to take responsibility for the pole these days so I think I'd just remove it myself.

(if by chance anyone ever does come forward to question you removing it just tell them it was rotting and becoming unsafe)

Where does the cable come from/go to? I'm just wondering what you'd do with it
Ask your local Council to see if they will remove it.

It's absolutely nowt to do with the council. Why should it be?
if it were me, i'd keep myself safe and ask a councillor for advice. failing that, your mp.
When I worked for BT I cut a bloke's phone off as he hadn't paid his bill. In a fit of temper he chopped down the telephone pole on his land...................
