Yes, they can, and do a home visit.

I used to take all my employees a bottle of lucozade and grapes when they were off sick

Anyway if they were conserned for your welfare then I would have thought they would want to.

If you are the sort of person or you have a lot of workmates who continualy takes the p!ss and have time off for nothing and need checking on, again I would have thought they would want to.

However legally I don't know.
