Is it legal to resell heating oil? We've recently converted to gas and we've got about 100 litres of oil left in our tank. We don't want to dispose of it but I'm not sure if it's legal to sell it. Could I advertise it in the local paper?

Thanks for the answer. The actual removal of the oil is sorted - two large barrels and a syphon. I was just worried in case I need to pay any sort of duty on it if I seel it.

This is just a thought as I don't have a PDF reader installed on this laptop, but:
the excerpt given refers to buying or selling on of oil subject to rentention of title of clauses- and it is an important area of commercial law to know when title passes (in case of fire or liquidation of seller/buyer etc, who bears the loss)
It does say that one could resell, but this may be due to an assumption that the requisite licence has been granted- the clause quoted is referring to when the transfer of title is complete and so a resell would be legal. It's about protecting property, not specifically with or without a licence.
Hope that makes sense- if I find a computer with a PDF reader later, I'll read the linked document.
