mr ben thats great ..........but amoninity usually means they dont know who you are lol
Ask for the Child Protection Unit of the police force and explain your fears of reprisal. The police would advise him very strongly that if there were attacks or attempts to intimidate you, that there would be consquences for him.
Question Author
Thanks ruby........Thats a sound piece of advice. I will do it.
What will happen now? Will they go and see him today or will they wait awhile?
Would like to know how long I have before the trouble kicks off
ur doing the right thing. there are people to help - u can voice ur concerns to the person u reported it to if ur scared of any come backs. good luck
the police will no doubt tell you when they expect to be speaking to him about this. They will take your statement first im sure and explain to you what is going to happen.

I hope that you have reported it now, avoiding the issue could cause more problems for your children than not reporting it, and also for many other children.
Just to add a comment re your concern........

If he only has a few photos, in all honesty he may well receive a caution for it.

However, if he at anytime becomes threatening towards you in any way shape or form, he will be gullty of "witness intimidation". Any crook will know that this is a very serious matter and holds up to 15 years inside, whether found guilty of the original offence or not.

Further, if found guilty of the offence (whether a cautionable offence or not) he will be placed on the sex offenders register for probably 5 years. Therefore the Old Bill will have his full details to hand should anything become untowards.

I have reported it.........though i have done it anonomously....
I dont think it will be hard for him to work out who or where the info came from though....do you? As for help .....If i want that i am gonna have to tell the police who i am.. This could thn discredit me...... You see The Guy and i have had an extremely volatile relationship. He has lied to them about me in the past when i had him arrested for knocking me around....Whatever happens the safety of my kids is paramount.
Question Author
So shadow man.......Should i now ring the police and tell them who i am?
Kiya, they will get as much evidence as they can first, have you not got anyone you can confide in and who will stay with you for a few days to ease your anxiety?
It wont be as bad as you think. They are very professional how they handle things and will make the necessary arrangements for you if you need anything.
Like i said , the only hard part for you is to make the call.
You will thank yourself for it when its all over.
If you dont feel strong enough to make the call, try and find someone who you can trust who will make it for you...
Question Author
Mr Ben ..... The call has been made.........I have no one here... I moved 300 miles to be with this man.... I gave up everything to be with him........ Now i am alone and scared but I have done the right thing.
I can see no problem in being open. If you are sure he knows the info comes from you, so what?

If a warrant is executed on his property the evidence for that warrant will come from the police (via you).

If child porn is found in his possession, I doubt very much your testimony will be needed if the matter goes to court. Possession is pretty much banged to rights, especially if he lives alone.

If he receives a caution, then obviously there will be no court.

But to be honest, if you have kids, I really do not see why you have even posted this question. I am childless, yet would not even think twice about taking a course of action.
i cant believe u had to ask people whether to report this guy
Question Author
My actual question asked "does this constitute as child porn?"
I knew the answer to should I.... But wanted someone to let me know i was not being melodramatic.

actually, I stand by my earlier post that it was quite likely not child porn. It's the risk to your daughter that would concern me more, and the potential risk to others. You've done the right thing. Good luck.
naked pictures of underage girls that he jerks off to hmmm i wonder! common sense, if i saw a man doing that to pictures of my step children i would hang him up by hit bits for a long long time
Question Author
Well then i guess you never been in my position.... the guy knows enough law to make me look like i am stupid.... Hence advice needed..... Pre Teen naked photos ummm professionally taken innocent positions..... Its the innocent positions bit that threw me.
11 year old on a beach with just a skirt on sat legs spread..... Is That Porn Or Not
pre teen naked photos is enough, are they pictures of his pre teen who is naked? if he is jerking off over them then he has them for that reason and that reason only it's disgusting, no you're right i havent been in your position but my step daughter has been sexually abused and im sure the bloke that did it started off with looking at half naked pictures of pre teen girls
Question Author
They are not his own children ...... I know his children very well...... I have done it now...... So there is only the fall out from my actions that i have to worry about. Thanks for taking the time to answer the questions.
