I live in a rural area the houses in our little community have been built from 2 to 8 years and in the middle of them all is our childrens playground whitch is delightful and well used .It is a meeting place for young mums and grandparents etc.It was always on the plans for everyone to see sowe all knew it was going to be there before we bought. Our problem is a handfull of people that live close to it are objecting to it and to our horror the council have said they are going to move it .this will cost 60.000 pounds and it will be put on the outskirts near a main road this will make it unsafe for the children because of traffic and strangers as it is out of site of houses.I wanted to know if anyone knew if we could object because it infringed on our civic libertys or human rights. The meeting to decide is on wednesday 25 april so we dont have much time.

Not an expert answer but I susprect you can object to the council removing something in the same way you can object to it being put there in the first place. Talk to your local planning department who will be able to advise you what grounds you can object on.

I used to live on an estate with a playground in the middle and it was a pain in the butt, a magnet for the local youth after dark. You might be better off without it.
