I have nothing in the calendar except my brother phoning this morning, which is nice.
autumn arrived seemingly yesterday, though it wasn't that cold but rather grey and overcast.

ok, little bit tired, but i shall go out later and walk it off i'm sure.

how did the lamb dish come out?

All good thanks, happily waiting for a drill battery to charge. I could have chosen one of many other drills to use, but, an excuse to do nothing for a while.
Nothing like stretching the legs to awaken oneself.

The lamb was succulent.
Only cooked half, the rest will be dinner tomorrow, cooked in a different way.

the last time i did leg of lamb it turned out really well, but i don't do it now, as it's just for one and that is a lot of cooking for just me. I have got lazy i must admit where cooking is concerned.

ok, how are you and your wife, is she getting better?

We are fine thanks and she is getting better each day. Still using a stick but mostly because she feels safer using one at the moment.

Years ago I used to cook for a minimum of 6, quite often many more.
Now it's only 2 people, I find it difficult to not waste ingredients unless you eat the same thing day after day.
It's more difficult when catering for 1.
Heat and eat is the easiest and sometimes the package is healthy and edible

Hope the weather is better today. Yesterday it was tipping down early and for much of the morning but then it was good but very humid.

that's good to hear. I have mobility issues at times, but i can't get on with using a stick though i have bought one ages ago.

it did rain for a little bit yesterday, but not enough to need a brolly,

i confess i do eat ready meals, though i have a freezer full of meat, some fish and veg. I find them cost effective, and i get quite a choice of meals.

Yes thanks 1ozzy. I also find it hard to cook small amounts. At least if someone comes around they usually know there will be food going spare.

My Mum does likewise, but I suspect dear Mum is way older ;-)
