So sorry to read this news today. Saw Cannon and Ball in the panto "Babes in the Wood" in Edinburgh a few years ago. We were there for the last performance and the ad libbing was just so funny, tears were running down my face. Brilliant night which has stayed with me. RIP Bobby, you will be missed.
Two evenings at the theatre are for me truly memorable. One was with Rod Hull and his Emu on stage … the other Cannon & Ball - and I’ll remember forever absolutely crying helplessly with laughter at both.
Never offensive, Bobby, like Rod, has left a wonderful legacy to the world that is far beyond any price … laughter. A lovely funny man. RIP.
Yes, R.I.P. But you do have to wonder why Booby was left to the very late stage of being breathless before taken to hospital, how many more are being left to struggle at home until its to late, as I understand it this is a very advanced stage of covid. ?
