/// An analysis of archaeological evidence dating back 200,000 years strips away some of the myths surrounding Neanderthals and reveals they were more advanced and sophisticated than has widely been thought. ///

No neanderthals to take issue with this

Raymond Dart who started all this with australopithecus
was asked if he had dug evidence that the species co-existed and

yes - but we didnt print it as we thought no one would believe us

Er, religious nut jobs?????

Are you sure you are on the correct thread?

If you mean when the insult is applied to BNP and EDL boneheads, then no it won't.

Interbreeding probably results in something like this...

yes AOG. The religious nut jobs will tell you the Neanderthals couldn't possibly have existed 40,000 years ago because the earth isn't that old. And stuff like that. Priceless.

Possibly.

But 'mouth breather' just waiting to take it's place.

Thank you for that although I don't think that there is any need to insult anyone for their beliefs, most likely you yourself believe in certain things that may or may not be proven true?

Here is an interesting link on the matter.

Not quite with that one sp, I would have thought 'snorter' more appropriate but that would be more associated with a 'nose breather'.
AOG

If someone believes something that is patently untrue, and sticks with that belief despite scientific evidence which proves them wrong, then it's fair to label them a 'nutjob'.

Let's take religion out of the equation.

If I declared to all my work colleagues that I believed all cats were made of solid cheese, and all dogs landed on earth in 1977 in parachutes made of Walkers crisps bags, I certainly would be worthy of the sobriquet 'nutjob'.
I don't have you down as a creationist, AOG.

it's not a matter of belief in this or that, but an acceptance of situations provable by fact. when someone proves to me that the earth was called into being by an all-seeing deity of whatever persuasion at a time more recent than the provably-dated dinosaur remains from 65million years ago, then i'll consider it.
comparing Ukip voters to Neanderthals is an insult... to one of them.

But knuckle draggers are apes, not Neanderthals. Many humans have Neanderthal DNA.

Divebuddy,
I wouldn't know about that.

Not in the world of political correctness, perhaps a person who is 'mentally challenged' would be far more appropriate.

But using it in political terms, here is the correct meaning of the word.

/// Taking into account the origin of the term "nutjob", one can only assume that the true meaning of a "right-wing" or "left-wing" "nutjob" is one that has the nuts and bolts tightened on that given wing. So, a "right-wing nutjob" (RWNJ) is somebody who has at least some facts from the right side of the political spectrum tightened down, well. However, that would mean that the "left-wing" has a few "screws loose". ///
If true I understand only fragments of their DNA remain today, so it must have been less well suited for survival anyway; or the importance of interbreeding with homo sapiens is being overhyped.

/// But knuckle draggers are apes, ///

If that is true then one must now be careful in first knowing the ethnicity of those one calls a knuckle dragger, in case one is then called a racist.
AOG

From what I've seen on AB, the word 'savage'' is in vogue to describe some ethnic minorities. I assume that's in place of knuckle-dragger.

There you go again, trying to provide some ethnic minority killers and rapists the sole right not to be called 'savages'.

Everyone who commits a heinous and savage crime deserves to be called a savage, regardless of their particular skin tone.

Or are you suggesting that these wrongdoing 'ethnic minorities' should be excused from being called savages, or is it just the black ones that you take particular offence over being so called?
