My favourite bar is selling jugs of beer today for $9.99, so I'll be wandering across the field soonly. Well, it is a lot cheaper than $10,00. And no, I am not cheekily alluding to a previous thread...Cheers:)

You can get a decent jug of Tiger beer in Singapore for S$15. It`s a shame they don`t do jugs in the UK. I expect the bars here want to make more money than they can get from a jug.

Close to 60ozs, tony: that's about 5 pints. Boxtops, it varies considerably as I'm sure that it does in the UK. A pint of beer at the place I go to is $3.85 which is about 2.44GBP.

I can remember pubs in the Midlands selling cartons of beer ...big ones not prefilled like milk....but you asked and a carton was unfolded....built up and filled with what you wanted to take out...

Ontario does not have what you guys call "off license" (each Province has its own liquor laws). "Molson Canadian" at 5.5% abv.

I don't know it its still the case,but when I was young,all the neighbourhood bars offered jugs of beer-it was the norm. Only cost about 2.50 -3 dollars then.
