You need to know about medical stuff !
You need to enroll on a 1st aid corse with the St johns ambulance.
Nigel, To teach First Aid at work, you need to have held a full first aid certificate for AT Least 3 years (ie have had at least one 2 day refresher course) and hold a teaching qualification. You would then need to apply to the HSE to be a registered organisation. However, to teach the Appointed persons course you don't need to register with the HSE. I am thinking of doing this myself, as I have previously worked for a First Aid training company, and am thinking of setting one up. A good starting point would be to get a hold of the ACOP for the First Aid at work (1981). Please don't hesitate to write to me at [email protected] should you need further advise. Regards Nigel
