I recieved an adult caution in 2003 for theft and kindred offences and that was the only time i have been arressted and as 5 years have past since this will it still be on my file

Current guidelines are that it stays on your "file" until you die (or reach the age of 100 if you are that lucky). It is stepped down after a clear period of 5 years, at which point it will not appear on a standard CRB check, but as it is still visible to the police it could emerge as the result of an enhanced disclosure to the CRB.
