i want to be a marine biologist, and randomly, a distant cousin of mine does aswell.
A marine microbiologist studies about the microbial population that are found in different layers of water level. Their uses to mankind etc.
You also need to be a diver and to get qualified and have no fear of the water
There is no point in wanting to be a marine biologist and not loving the water or not being able to swin for example. Try a padi taster day when you go on holiday as you will need to be a qualified diver too. There is fierce competition as many marine biologists do a few years voluntary work before they ever get paid work.

thanks for the help!
i just wondered because i love learning my sciences, especially chemistry and biology and am thinking of a career in them. i am interested in something in medicine using my chemistry but i kind of want something thrilling and exciting for a career. also, i am better at biology than chemistry although i do love chemistry more but don't get me wrong, i love biology too! i love water except i am a bit scared of going really deep incase a shark comes hhaha. and because it just gets creepily quiet and dark..

can anyone help me in some exciting careers in chemistry or biology?!
thanks.
