He's only been there about 3 weeks so may not have been paid yet or pay might only have covered a week or so in March, and with a possible tax refund due... she probably wouldn't have noticed

Was that a different job (pretend job?). He was out of work about 6 weeks ago and Mary or his wife have him a newspaper with this marine biologist job (and Sea Life centre merchandising job) advert in

He said he had lied to Angie about what he did for a living since they foirst met. So ANY job he had he must have been pretending he was a marine biologist!
That is why it is ridiculous as his accountant wife would know his earnings are about half what they should be.

Yes. Lots of silly stories and in reality the whole street is not believable, but there is some brilliant humour and always one good story (Phelan at present) that keeps me watching
