I know someone who may be wanting to work in another county (too far to commute). He's probably going to be looking for an old fashioned style of "boarding house", i.e. a bed and breakfast place where the lady (or man!!!) "looks after you", i.e. does you an evening meal (and possibly washing???)

Do such places exist anymore and if so how do you suggest he finds one?

All answers much appreciated, thanks in advance

Local citizen advice should be able to help.
Or look on the net for rooms to rent (eg spareroom.com) or try local papers for where they are moving to.
