What is your soul made of?

If you looked inside, what would your soul have in it? (Not a religious question, promise, just feeling a bit thoughtful!!)

My son has been horrible tonight. He was sent to bed in a strop, only to come back down later, sobbing his little heart out, full of apologies for calling me names. I told him nothing could ever stop me loving him, then it occurred to me that my soul is mostly made up of the love I feel for him and his brother. Without that now, I'd be a shadow of my old self. So what's inside yours?

I'm kidding of course. Great question.

Mine is made up completely of pride. I will do nothing that sacrifices it... down to trivial things. Damaging that is pretty much the only thing that hurts me and taking pride in my family and friends is what builds me.

This of course does not speak volumes about my character alas... Pride always comes before a fall.

(Tho I'm also quite nice mainly)

That's a very honest answer! I don't think pride is too bad a thing, and as long as you're aware of those potential falls and can laugh when you've fallen on your bum, you'll be fine C-D!!

Like China Doll put it so well, pride and self respect. I also have a strong concience and would never cheat/lie/hurt anyone else intentionally and act like it was nothing the next day. Maybe it makes me naive but I've seen too many people like that and I've made sure they've stayed out of my life for good. I live life by my own morals and nothing in life would ever make me act against them. Its my conscience again, but I think I'm lucky to have it (clearly not a lot of people do) coz I have no regrets or guilt about my past and hopefully never will.

Katie - try adding a shot of Jameson's Irish whiskey to your Bailey's. HAS to be Irish. It's Bailey's with a bigger kick, and I REALLY recommend it.......!!
