Salary per hour?

Hi. Could anyone tell me what the hourly rate equivalent of �12,270 per annum (working 40 hours per week) is please? I can't figure it out somehow. Thank you!

�5.90 x 40 hours = �236
�236 x 52 weeks = �12272

Thank you! I was just wondering whether to divide by 52 weeks or less (taking hols into account or not)....but I was probably just confusing myself! :O)
assuming you get paid leave, then the salary is pro rata so yes you would divide by 52
Strictly speaking you should divide by 52 point something as there are 52 weeks and the odd day in a year. However it all the jobs I've come across a straight 52 has been used.
Hi max as a rule of thumb if you double the per annum �24,540 remove the last 2 figures then divide by 40 that is approx per week/hour, thanks Tez
