depends on the essay and subject.
if its an open-ended essay then its up to you how you set it out aslong as you mention everything your supposed to.
but if its not an open-ended essay then it completely depends on the subject and question i suppose. if the question begins with discuss then you should talk for and against the subject then come to a conclusion at the end.
