Years ago I was a conductoress. It`s the type of job you either love or hate.I have friends male and female who still drive buses after 30 years. If you don`t mind early mornings, late nights, rude people and not much gratitude from anyone go for it.I personally loved it. Another way to look at it once you`ve got your PSV(is it still called that) you have other avenues to follow, school buses, private hire etc.
My neighbour is a bus driver. He loves it. Says the money isn't great but it's an absolulute doddle of a job, not really like working at all. He also said after 6 months you can start milking the sick pay etc, although i think the benefits can vary from company to company.
Hmmm! im a bus driver and enjoy it but im quite a happy person and u get out what u put in, we have drivers in our garage who r fighting everyday the job can be done the same way and without so much hassle just by applying yourself properly! It is a doddle and they pay is good i work 5 over 7 and can change my off days to suit me 9 times outta 10. would love to know if u went 4 it, good luck with whatever u do.
