well you are a bit bitter...i did a bsc and an msc and i am a girl and blonde but hey....i am not that uch better off than anyone else so i understand what you mean but don't be so sexist!!

believe me it does help and you will notice that when you change jobs or go for more senior roles in a few years. engineering almost always requires a degree...unless you are doing CAD work i guess....but don't be disappointed ...think about the fantastic time you had a uni when they were working and living with their parents!!
Further education has obviously not improved your spelling or given you a better attitude.

Good luck to school leavers who've not had the opportunity to go to university like some people but have had to get jobs to support themselves.

and you dont even know when to shut your ugly face, whats wrong cant take it that i stated the obvious?
LOL!!!

Now I can REALLY see why you haven't progressed further up the job ladder.

Perhaps if you weren't so arrogant you might be more successful.

Resorting to name calling is doing you no favours petal- so quit whilst your ahead ;-)

broken record, ive done fine all im saying is thick school leavers like u have probs made it without even workn hard 4 it
An education will only get you so far.

Drive, enthusiasm and an ability to work well with others is equally important if not more so.

Of course if you have all this and good qualifications too that's ideal.

Trouble is many people go and do a degree without knowing what area they want to work in. Then they find their qualifications aren't relevant - of course if you have an appetite for learning then time spent on an education is never wasted - but it doesn't sound as if that's the case for you.

Still there are enough people with a huge chip on their shoulders because they never wen't on to further education, if you hadn't you might be one of them.
A degree isnt just for a particular subject it opens up the way you think, my daughter who still wants to go to uni has fought her way up the job ladder having been destroyed by bullying and people who swore in every sentence, it isnt clever by the way and usually indicates someone ill educated, so dont knock those who do and dont knock those who do, its about choice and whats right for an individual
lol, the name's about right.
Grow up maggot. You've got to start somewhere. You'll find that you are starting off where they are after years of work. IF you sort your attitude out, you should find you'll progress a lot faster than those less qualified.
Hi

You seem to have a few issues maggot4life!

Unfortunately I didnt get the chance to go to University because I made the wrong subject choices early on in life and messed things up exam wise! I sometimes used to look at people I worked with that actually had a degree and said to myself "what on earth are they doing here, they have no common sense etc etc"

Just because you have a first class degree does not automatically give you the right to earn lots of money or more money than someone who is doing the same job!
Like minimonkey says you will probably see some improvement later on, a couple of years down the road!

Dont worry about the plebs around you.
Life can sometimes be a Marathon. It is no race!
And on that last strech, that last mile you will excel because of your qualifications, experience etc

I went to uni and got a good degree, my boyfriend didn't go to uni. We are now both working at the same level (in different companies) earning the same amount. He has successfully worked his way up the career ladder at his company from the age of 18 and deserves to be at the level he is at. Just because I've got a degree, doesn't automatically guarantee that I should have a better or more well paid job than him. After all he's got 3 years more work experience than me - and that is what ultimately counts once you are in employment.
Goodness some anger the m4l.
Try calming down a bit.
I did a HND and a degree and have always done fine career wise. However, I can understand m4l's frustration. My sister's friend has just been awarded a 2.2 degree in nursing, and didn't hand in some course work until a year after the end of the course - they STILL gave her the award. If we had handed in an assignment 1 minute after 4pm on the deadline day, the most we could get was a D.
Standards hey!
Lose the chip on your shoulder or this will be picked up by your bosses and you will get nowhere. apositive and helpful attitude will get you everywhere. Also most graduates assume that they are too good for most every days duties, but you have to learn to walk before you can run !!!!!

So some of u have done ok so what the majority of university leavers leave withot a clue in hell and they end up doing a job in wat they studied, 2 me the end doesnt justify the means...

and my name doesnt suggest im low ground dwelling insect it implies i am something u cud never begin2 understand cos u live in ur plastic ******** pussy arse bitch world

and there were some good points made i agree graduates are the next best thing 2 sliced bread but wat abt if u graduated a year or more ago and u cnat improve...somethings wrong esp if u are a perfect candidate

and getting 1st frmo a good uni...well if this doesnt land u a job u might aswell get a 3rd
As a graduate of Trinity Hall I can tell you that being an oxbridge graduate is no guarantee of success.

But why so down on the tosspot school leavers? Perhaps they have done it on merit.

Be patient; your time will come.
lol, I get the feeling you might not have graduated from lower school yet maggot.
