I was always told that 'some money coming in is better than no money coming in'

But then at 30 I had bills to pay, rent/mortgage, food to purchase etc etc.

If I wanted to have a good time, my girlfriends and I would take it in turns to host - we would cook a meal and everyone would bring a bottle - cheap and cheerful.

I suppose but would have been temp anyway

Abbey, I think you're allowing these rubbishy part-time jobs to distract you from looking for real, full-time work. Forget about the footery jobs with 10 hours here, or 16 hours there - that's one of the reasons you got in such a mess, employment-wise, last year.

Is this the fork-lift training day, Abbey?  I thought it had an early start time?

if you scroll down to related questions, you have asked this 3 times before, nearly 400 answers and you did what you wanted to anyway.

Just do what you want to - youwill anyway!

No the woman didn't speak to them or send off my paper work.

No I'm not taking it

^^ Why am I not surprised, Abbey!  It was never for you.

//No the woman didn't speak to them or send off my paper work.

No I'm not taking it//

Sorry is this the cleaning job, the warehouse job or the training course?

Question Author

Well like you said it probably wouldn't work out

Question Author

Surprised I even got it

Abbey, why not make 2024 the year you only go after jobs that will lead to progress in your life? And that way you won't need to post the endless questions about whether you should take one rubbishy job or another! I think you've had hundreds of pieces of advice about all the part-time jobs, the jobs you're unsuited for, everything under the sun. Wouldn't you rather  concentrate on turning your life around?

Sorry are you saying they offered you the forklift job?

Even though you were not trained in forklift? and you turned it down?

Question Author

I haven't been offered a job as a forklift driver they turned me down.

So what did you get?

-- answer removed --

You seem to be getting rather muddled, Abbey  -  best get ready to go to the laundry - 9 a.m. start?

"I haven't been offered a job as a forklift driver they turned me down"

that feels unsurprising, seeing as you dont have any experience, nor a forklift licence.  It's akin to applying for a job as a doctor when you are not a doctor and wondering why you didnt get it

Question Author

No off sick today and I get that they might have found someone who has got a licence

I have a feeling that you will be looking for another job soon Abbey
