My daughter is on maternity leave and wants to complete a course whilst at home in childcare or nursery nursing in case her current job is not safe. There seem to be a lot of companies that do online courses for a variety of fees, but I don’t know if the reviews are real. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced one which is trustworthy please ?

can you really do online courses in childcare? i would have thought it needs to be practical?
Like Bednobs, I think that most courses that are of any real value would need to involve some (or, indeed, a good deal of) 'hands on' experience.

However if childminding might be a relevant career path for your daughter, the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years ('PACEY') has an online course which might be of interest to her:
https://www.pacey.org.uk/training-and-qualifications/training-from-pacey/pre-registration-courses/preparing-to-work-in-home-based-childcare/

(I found the link to PACEY from the NHS Careers' website, so it's clearly a respectable and trustworthy organisation).
