I didn't mean you TWR. I was talking about a post on here that got quite nasty and upset some of the older people. To answer your question I would say sometimes yes and other times no. I am the oldest person in the block of flats where I live and most people are lovely to me. But then I'm nice to them as well. As they all work and I'm retired I take in their parcels for them, report anything that's broken to our managing agent, tend the flower beds, take care of our roof terrace and walk one of their dogs that is home alone most days (for free). But I have been treated appallingly by some people when out. Such as in the park when a woman was too busy on her mobile phone to notice that her child had crashed into me and sent me flying. The mother never even acknowledged me in a heap on the floor let alone helped me to my feet. Most people are OkKmost of the time. But nobody stands up for you and offers a seat anymore - perhaps I look too young:-)
