i was on a contract and salary in an office job after 3 months i was given the option of changing my job to work as a delivery driver,as a result off changing my job i am now on a zero hours contract is this legal

Err, yes, you seem to be saying you agreed to it. Zero hours contracts are legal and you still the same accrue statutory rights, in terms of dismissal. However you are not guaranteed a minimum number of hours work and you are paid for the hours that you do.
