My NHS Trust is requiring me to fill out a form for Criminal Records Bureau. If i do not complete the form and send my employer documents confirming my idenity they say i could be disaplained. i work in Maintenance and do not have patients contact.

would guess although you do not have patient contact you could get patient contact at some point.


being crb checked is very useful these days as it can be transfered from job to job.


its a fairly simple procedure and trouble will obviously only come if anything they consider to be a problem shows up against your name.


while a number of people will show as having a criminal record the offence may have no impact on their job so is disregarded.
