My mum had a minor car accident the other day which was just a bump on the side of each car. The people in the other car were very angry, even though it was both parties fault.
My mum though it was the end of it until she found out they had gone to the police and have said she was driving dangerously! This is so not true, it was an accident where both cars were part to blame. My mum is very worried about this she thinks they will be believed. I have said i think they would need some proof. There are no witnesses to the accident. Just wondering if anyone has any idea what might happen, could my mum get done just from the other party saying this?

how many people were in the other car,if there were 2,its her word against theirs.
I believe the police require independent witnesses. Passengers in the other vehicle can give statements but are considered bias.
Report everything to her insurance company, they should also offer legal advice, and say nothing more to the other party.
The police are not interested in this sort of problem, just go through your insurance company giving all details of the collision.
