Sky viewing card

My sky viewing card is in situ but on certain channels it is saying insert your sky viewing card,and my regional BBC channel has changed to London when in fact i live in the Midlands,Any ideas how to rectify this or do i need to ring Sky?

If, as seems likely, the channels you can't receive are the encrypted ones (which require a valid Sky subscription), it appears that Sky's system is saying that your subscription has expired. (If you've not got a subscription with Sky you can still get the free channels but not the encrypted ones. Further, since your card isn't now linked to your address, you're now receiving the default regional BBC service).

So it looks as if you'll need to contact Sky. In the meantime, if you want to watch your regional BBC news programme you should find it on channel 979 (West Midlands) or 980 (East Midlands).

I think there is something more wrong Chris.

When I cancelled my Sky subscription, I continued to use my card for the free channels. However channel 101 continued to be my regional BBC1, and did not default to London.
