2 hour boost button on economy 7 heated immersion

I have recently moved into a new flat which has economy 7 heating, the immersion tank also has a 2 hour Boost Button next to it, what exactly does this do?

Think that's if you want some hot water when the Eco 7 isn't working (in the evenings). It's expensive to keep on for that length of time though. 45 minutes should do it if you need the extra hot water.
