hey potatoman, google search "why do clothes get darker when wet" the answer is right there. click on the physics 10 link
So you know exactly where you spilled your drink
I thought it was because more light was absorbed, not due to the pattern of it being reflected. http://www.squarefree.com/archives/000385.html or is this the same thing?
when i google "why do clothes get darker when wet" as suggested by peanut (as i'd also like to know) the only link google gives me is back to this question!
you should try the search again tracyh ive never seen only one result come up for a search. i just did the search again myself and i found the link
If you use google then don't include the quotes, just the words. Here's the Physics 10 link for anyone else that hasn't seen it. Either way, 2 plausible answers have been suggested.
