Is it atall ever possible to get info like postal address, full name or other personal details from an email address, that is posted on a forum? So if someone was to send me an email, could i detect who/where it came from?
Not sure if i explained myself right...

It's sometimes possible if you are a member of the security services with a warrant from the Home Secretary, but it's not possible for you.

How do you think they catch hackers, but you do need an awful lot of muscle from the security services.

If your a half decent hacker your hardly likely to enter your real address when you register an email account that you use for hacking purposes.
