My mum has a constant pain in her arm and managed to get her hands on some cannabis as she had read that it help with pain relief .However, not having a clue what to do with it, she ate an eighth in one go and preceded to spend the night lying on the bathroom floor - totally gone. I presume the therapeutic properties didn't work for her and if there are such surely advice should be available on what it should be used for and how it should be taken. I think it is foolish to announce these half truths, especially when people like my mum seem to pay so much attention to them.
There are many benefits to sufferers of illnesses such as multiple sclerosis. I suggest a visit to http://www.cannabis.come very detailed and helpful information.
Sorry to hear about your Mum's over-indulgence through ignorance, Kruger. Perhaps, if cannabis wasn't such a taboo subject, this could have been avoided. Honest information is hard to find in the general media - old habits die hard. I echo MrNutz: go to www.cannabis.com for the truth. In my experience, moderate use of cannabis can relieve arthritic pains in my once-crushed left foot's numerous damaged joints. This does, however, simultaneously relax / slow down all other mental processes. So it is not suitable for all people; nor all situations. The Government, with several ministers admitting having "dabbled" in its use, has set up a commission (or somesuch) to look into its benefits as an analgesic for particular medical conditions. They are, of course, dragging their feet - they are frightened of losing the votes of the "Ban-all-drugs" bigots. These people refuse to accept the fact that alcohol is a far more dangerous drug, in every respect.
Cannabis is helping many MS sufferers right now although they have to get it illegally! The Government has just recently started trials on the herb and, fingers crossed, it will be available on prescription soon.
