Atheist; I can only repeat what I said earlier; Not all people who smoke pot go on to class A drugs, but you can bet that all people on class A drugs began by smoking pot. 

The temptation & culture to try something a 'little stronger' is much more prevalent than that with tobacco.

Temptation and culture are what happens when the tobacco is illegal and the buyer has to seek out those who also sell more lucrative, pleasurable and addictive products.

 

After decriminalising cannabis about two years ago thousands of shops in Thailand started to sell it openly. Now the Health Authorities are worried about the effects it is having on their youngsters who are  growing up and thinking that taking this drug is the norm.So now cannabis is going to be banned.

Thanks for that andres. I knew they were banning it, but hadn't seen their reasons.  Sensible: and they have a lot of experience to go on.
