my patio has a lot of discolouration on it as well as the remnants of moss stains, will brick acid be affective for this?

my patio was the same but i used a jetter on it and it now looks brand new, so easy as well, just like hoseing the lawn.
I think one of the problems with all these products is that whilst effective removing moss & other stains, they also remove the original protective coating of your patio bricks or slabs. Unless you give the whole area a thorough coating again with a couple of coats of patio-type sealant, all the stains and moss will return and build up far more quickly than originally.
