Hi
We are looking to have a patio laid & do have some workman coming out to quote next week but we just wanted to get a rough idea of costs.

Size: 8ft by 7ft Patio area
Materials: We would need the materials to be supplied & wish for only basic/cheap patio slabs.

We were also wanting a base built for our shed to sit on-not sure if this would be concrete base or again using patio slabs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello helpmepls. Would this be a raised patio with steps up to it and a small wall around or just laid level with the garden?

Hi Count-a-strong, were on a budget so this would be just laid level with the garden (assuming thats cheaper?)

Does anyone have a rough price guide...please?
What is where the patio has to be laid? Earth? Needs to be hardcore/sand and dabs of mortar, really. Have hardcore?
You really should lay a concrete base for the shed, unless you buy one with a floor. In that case, it is laid on supported timbers. Earth boards around.
This is why they are coming around to quote .. to see what's actually needed.
Apologies for my late reply. I would have thought there was about 3 days work plus materials so approx £700 to £900.
I'll go along with that CAS.

Other things to consider that could affect price would be location(eg Central London) or limited/difficult access.

Thanks everyone!!

ARE THERE ANY TRADES MEN ON NOW WHO CAN GIVE A ROUGH GUIDE??

I shouldnt think it would be 3 days work-its a small basic patio. £900 seems too much??

Had a man out on saturday-he's going to get back to me?? God the waiting. I just need a rough guide.
I think the guide price above included the shed base as well. Without knowing what size of shed base(say 6'x8'), or what preparation will be needed in both cases, I wouldnt think that £750 would be wildly out.

£450 I was quoted-well chuffed!!
Good luck hmp and good luck to your builder/landscaper. Assuming some prep is required on the 10sq.m of work, then the material cost inc a skip and plant should be around £350.00.
