Need An Outside Bin Container, But What?

I live upstairs & due to health issues, dealing with binbags is a big hassle.

Theres nowhere inside or outside to put them during the week.

If i put them outside in the small bit of land at the side of my house, it encourages others to do it too.

I dont want a wheelybin as theyre too tall & i already get people dragging other peoples onto my land to help them climb over the back wall!

So itd just help them, & get damaged - (just like my back gate already has)

So i need some kind of low container that other people wont view as a public bin, or use to climb up the house or over wall.

Ideally one with a sloping lid so it cant be stood on.

Can these be obtained from councils?

Or bought?

Or is there something else similar?

Any ideas?

Thanks :)

I have searched for an outdoor waste bin with sloping lid, but without success. Your next step would be to ask your council if they can help.

A grit bin might do the job but they're not cheap:

(Your local council might have some spares one though, so it could be worth asking).

Or here's a factory seconds grit box for £38 plus £30 delivery:

It says you can pick it up for free.  Their address is Bury, Lancs:

Business name: Excelsior Roto Moulding
First name: Jonny
Surname: Fielding
Address: Hartshead Works, Deal Street, Bury, Lancashire, United Kingdom BL9 7PU
Phone number: +44 7786623352
Email: jonny@excelsior-ltd.co.uk
VAT number: GB 519472431
CRN: 00463696

Those could still be stood on by someone wanting a climbing aid.

A handyman could probably knock up a container with a steeply sloping padlockable lid out of old pallet wood for a few quid. Fix it to the wall with bolts so it can't be moved.
