"The Check Your Vehicle service is currently unavailable following a planned upgrade that has taken a little longer than expected to complete. In the meantime please ensure you carry your policy documents with you. We apologise for any inconvenience and are working to restore the service as soon as possible."

Check Your Vehicle is currently unavailable, however account holders and one-off search users can continue to use the system. Right now, we're busy updating all the vehicles and policies to make sure everything's accurate and up to date. This might take a little time.

They've obviously broken it whilst making "improvements".

Yes, that's what I use it for, MOT and tax.

of course I do. I like to check now and again.

....sometimes it does not show on the MID even if you are. Then ANPR will make plod think you are not insured and pull you over. I like to check it shows correctly on MID.

As it says in the "service down" message - carry your docs with you.
