The Site derives revenue from the advertising it carries, which is paid for by the companies concerned. If a website can provide proof of a number of visits or 'hits' over an agreed period, confirming that an agreed number of people are exposed to the advets carried, the company involved will pay the AB's owners to place an ad. on the AB - and that's where the revenue comes from. The sheer unadulterated genius, wit, repartee, and staggering amounts of useful facts provided by regular contributors are the icing on the cake!

Thanx for that Andy. So all i have to do now is think of a site ask for advertisers backing and get it broadcast on radio 2. Cool!
The last comment is very interesting - I would have thought the first answer was a blindingly obviousone, auzzie. Still, the effort and initiative of setting this (or any potentially useful site) up deserves praise so let's hope it continues to educate and perhaps inspire you further rather than disappear without trace.
You're quite correct Auzzie - that's all (!) you have to do. But remember, you have to attract the advertising, maintain your site, pay staff to run it, and keep it on the Web for two years, and then hope it gets recognised by Radio 2! No-one ever said it was easy!!
