As always, best to have a look at the legislation first, in this case: The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020: Restrictions on movement (Section 6) 6.—(1) During the emergency period, no person may leave the place where they are living without reasonable excuse. (2) For the purposes of paragraph (1), a reasonable...

Call it exercise if you walk to it. :-)
yes
If it’s essential you have money for something then, yes. What do you need cash for?
I’ve been to mine , I get out the amount I’d spend on a Tuesday out with the girls and save it, maybe none essential but within my hours walk
wipe the machine down before you use it
and wipe yourself down after you've used it ......................

I like to have cash when I go shopping because often the jack and jills are cash only.
Really, where’s that?

ah 'open all hours' i remember that till ...
The only time I ever need cash prior to lockdown was to pay for my hair cut, and now I don't need that. I've had a £10 note sitting on the side table for about 4 weeks and was thinking of paying it back into the bank before I lose it.
I thought shops didn't want to have to handle cash now.
Many supermarkets are restricting cash payments to self service tills.

Where tho does it say you can’t or might not be able to use a cashpoint?
The tills are cash only in ASDA? Are you sure about that? Cash can be a CV transmitter.
It’s worth bearing in mind that none of this is exact.
Sainsbury’s staff dont as a rule handle cash but they WILL take your nectar card.
The lady in the local shop offers to pack my bag because she’s wearing gloves ...
I liked Matthew Paris’s description of how it works: it’s not condom-style security because it can’t be, more like a windbreak: some breeze will always get through
Does the lady at your local shop change gloves for every customer?

ich: "Where tho does it say you can’t or might not be able to use a cashpoint? " - it doesn't but it there is not an exclusive list of what you can't do, I don't want some plod pulling over and fining me for an invalid explanation as to why I am out.
ZM - no they are not cash only but some tills are for what ever reason. When it's busy I want to use the next till that's free if that's cash only I want to be able to use it.
I doubt it.

I forgot to take out cash a week before lockdown. Luckily I don't need cash at the moment and I can use my card in the corner shop as well as my local co op.
Fair enough, Tora. As there will almost certainly be a cash point at the supermarket, the use of it would be combined in with your shopping trip.

Ich, then it’s pretty useless wearing gloves.
