If I am going away for a month and want to keep my phone switched on so that i can see who has phoned me, would it be safe to leave it plugged in (Charging) for the whole time?

Unless the caller leaves a message on my answerphone have no way of knowing who has called as missed calls are only listed if the phone is switched on

Could be dependant on the model/make of phone. I suggest going into a BT store and buying a phone number storage box that can keep upto 100 numbers, Chances are most people who phone will be ringing just to see if your back yet. They are cheap and safe.
