Ive posted before about my love of candles, always have at least a few candles on at night.
Tonight I had on (and still have on) 24 candles of various shapes, sizes and colours around my living room. Also have a normal lamp and 2 Himalayan salt lamps.
Had a power cut in the street for about 1/2 hr an hour ago so was just left with candle light. My sons girlfriend remarked how peaceful it seemed in my living room with nothing but candle light. Couldn't disagree, it seemed almost magical compared to the normal way of rooms been lighted...lamps, TV's, computer screens, outside lamps shining in, etc.
Something primal about 'fire'.
No question, just an observation. Ta!

I love candles too and I've usually got a nice scented one on the go of an evening. Tesco do Chupa Chups candles for £1 and they're lovely.

There is something primal and attractive about fire tho isn't there (or is it just me)?

Maybe I'm a budding arsonist!
You would've enjoyed watching Most Haunted on Friday then, Nailit. Fire was very much involved! :o)

What doll Minty?
I just watch it cos I enjoy it and I'm open to things like that. I've liked Yvette Fielding since I was a kid which is the initial reason I started watching it.

Yes Minty, That Doll! :O

The thing with the likes of Most Haunted is the way that 'ghosts' seem to show up on cue. Like a nights filming will produce eerie disembodied voices, things been thrown, shadows captured on film etc.
Strange that!
Most Haunted

No good without Derek ;-)

Well it had proper comedy value, nailit.
I love candle and sitting in candlelight, but my problem is lack of surfaces on which to place candles. :-(
Always remember the rules of the convent.
Lights out at 10pm candles out at 11pm.
I love candles too. A few years ago a DiL bought me two scented ones as a present and I fell in love with the beautiful smell and don't bother with any others now. Trouble is they are £25 each so I tend to use them sparingly. And they never seem to be on offer:-(
