We have been looking for years to find a handle the same as this (or very similar) for an upstairs bedroom window. (we need one for the right hand side of the window) The window is an old fashioned vertical swing window. The handle "locks" the window to the frame without a key. As you can see the section that swings around to engage is further back from the handle, not adjacent to the handle so regular ones (and all the ones we've found so far) won't work as they wont "lock" into the frame. All help much appreciated!

These are all that I can think of:
Is there a maker's name on the existing handle?
Try a salvage/reclamation yard.
Are any of your neighbours having new windows installed? You might get a handle from what they throw out.
Try a window fitting firm.
Wickes might help.
These look like they were the type fitted in the late 1960's/early 70's I doubt you will find some exactly the same but this website http://www.theperiodironmonger.co.uk/search.asp?types=Window+Hardware

has some that will do the job but might look a little out of place
That looks like what is called a cockspur handle Cmittchell. Is the window timber or pvc?
Maybe cockspur espagnolette .
