I have just bought a JVC LT-32DD52J TV and cannot set it up.

I have connected the SKY Box to the TV via a scart lead but when I run initial set up it cannot find any channels.

Can anyone help.
Many thanks in anticipation

That is probably because it is looking for broadcast channels coming in from the aerial. If you don't have an aerial it wont find any. You have to choose the input from the menu, probably 'external' or even 'scart1' or 'scart2' depending on which scart socket you are using.
I agree with Jomifl.

Your TV set is designed primarily to provide a signal via its built-in Freeview tuner. However you want to use it simply as a monitor, to display the signal from an external source, so you need to tell it that.

Press the 'AV Source' button on the remote control. (It's immediately above the '1' button). Use the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons to scroll through the available sources, looking for 'Scart' (or something similar). Then press 'OK'.

However you probably shouldn't be using a Scart cable anyway. Unless it's really ancient, your Sky box should be capable of receiving HD channels. Your TV is capable of displaying them but you'll only see HD programmes in SD (standard definition) if you use a Scart cable. Use an HDMI lead instead!
If you are using a scart lead on your Sky box, you can set it to automaticaly switch the TV to the Sky box when it is turned on.

Press the System button.

Select System Settings

Select Picture Settings

Turn Scart Control to 'on'

Now when you turn the Sky box on, it should automatically display on the TV.
